Cairns solar energy company G-Solar & Electrical has marked a milestone year by receiving two significant awards, underscoring their dedication to quality and customer service.
The local solar provider and installer was named Queensland’s Installer of the Year at the prestigious Fronius awards held in Melbourne on 21 October. This award is a significant recognition for the company, following closely on the heels of their recent achievement of FSP+ status with Fronius, the top-ranked inverter brand in Australia. This accolade not only reflects G-Solar’s commitment to excellence in solar installations but also marks a crowning moment in their partnership with Fronius.
Additionally, G-Solar & Electrical recently took home the Cairns Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award in the category of Customer Service – Trade, Retail, and Services, recognising their reputation for delivering an exceptional experience for every customer.
The Cairns Chamber of Commerce Customer Service award highlights G-Solar’s commitment to customer satisfaction. This award acknowledges businesses that go above and beyond to ensure outstanding service, and G-Solar has proven its dedication to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

The fifth-generation local Cairns electrician founded G-Solar & Electrical in 2014 and is passionate about bringing renewable energy solutions to Cairns and the Far North region as well as giving back to the community – earlier this year they partnered with Star FM to provide a radio competition prize of a $10,000 solar energy system and installation, which went to a White Rock family.
